Description

Description

The Old English Bridle Butt is the benchmark in traditional English bridle and stirrup leather. Crafted using full vegetable tanning and finished by hand with tallow waxes, it delivers a strong, smooth, and exceptionally hard-wearing surface that has defined English leatherwork for centuries.

Cut to a regular shape and size for maximum cutting efficiency, these butts are widely used in saddlery, harness making, and equestrian applications, as well as for durable belts and straps. The natural firmness and dense fibre structure make them ideal for projects that demand resilience, structure, and long service life.

Available from stock in a range of classic equestrian colours, Old English Bridle Butt combines heritage craftsmanship with reliability. Custom colour orders can also be arranged to match specific requirements.
