BUY CHROME TANNED LEATHER
Chrome-Tanned Leather uses a solution of chemicals, acids and salts (including chromium sulphate) to tan the hide. The processing time is fast, so is generally cheaper to produce compared to Vegetable Tanning. This type of leather will tend to have a flat surface with no imperfections, or have an artificial print applied. Colours tend to be solid and the leather has good resistance against water and heat.
This type of leather generally is unsuitable for tooling, carving and moulding but is very hard wearing and will not discolour.
